{"id":1470,"date":"2014-12-12T15:46:48","date_gmt":"2014-12-12T14:46:48","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cortomaltese.com\/en\/it\/?p=1470"},"modified":"2018-09-05T13:26:51","modified_gmt":"2018-09-05T11:26:51","slug":"cong-hugo-pratt-art-properties","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cortomaltese.com\/en\/cong-hugo-pratt-art-properties\/","title":{"rendered":"Cong website \u2013 Hugo Pratt Art Properties"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"fusion-fullwidth fullwidth-box fusion-builder-row-1 nonhundred-percent-fullwidth non-hundred-percent-height-scrolling\" style=\"--awb-background-position:left top;--awb-border-radius-top-left:0px;--awb-border-radius-top-right:0px;--awb-border-radius-bottom-right:0px;--awb-border-radius-bottom-left:0px;--awb-padding-top:20px;--awb-padding-bottom:20px;--awb-border-sizes-top:0px;--awb-border-sizes-bottom:0px;--awb-flex-wrap:wrap;\" ><div class=\"fusion-builder-row fusion-row\"><div class=\"fusion-layout-column fusion_builder_column fusion-builder-column-0 fusion_builder_column_1_1 1_1 fusion-one-full fusion-column-first fusion-column-last fusion-column-no-min-height\" style=\"--awb-bg-size:cover;--awb-margin-bottom:0px;\"><div class=\"fusion-column-wrapper fusion-flex-column-wrapper-legacy\"><div class=\"fusion-text fusion-text-1\"><h2 style=\"text-align: left;\" align=\"center\"><strong>Cong became the editor of eBooks in English of the series <em>The Scorpions of the Desert<\/em> and launched the <em>new series<\/em> of Corto Maltese with the first title released in October 2015.<\/strong><\/h2>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: left;\" align=\"center\"><em>On the occasion of these two important publishing initiatives, the\u00a0<strong><span style=\"color: #e30000;\"><a style=\"color: #e30000;\" href=\"http:\/\/cong-pratt.com\" target=\"_blank\">Cong<\/a><\/span><\/strong> company created its own official website for the presentation of all of Hugo Pratt\u2019s works, his complete bibliography, new developments, exhibits, and all sponsored events relating to his work.<\/em><\/h3>\n<\/div><div class=\"fusion-text fusion-text-2\"><h3 style=\"text-align: left;\" align=\"center\"><div class=\"fusion-sep-clear\"><\/div><div class=\"fusion-separator fusion-clearfix\" style=\"float:left;margin-top:20px;margin-bottom:40px;width:100%;max-width:40%;\"><div class=\"fusion-separator-border sep-single sep-solid\" style=\"--awb-height:20px;--awb-amount:20px;--awb-sep-color:#dd3333;border-color:#dd3333;border-top-width:4px;\"><\/div><\/div><div class=\"fusion-sep-clear\"><\/div><\/h3>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-11548 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/cortomaltese.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/1\/logo-cong.png\" alt=\"logo-cong\" width=\"200\" height=\"74\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The Cong company was formed in 1983 in Lausanne, Switzerland, where Pratt had moved his residence from France in 1982.<br \/>\nIn 1987, on April 24, Pratt transferred the ownership and exercise of copyright of his entire production, past and future, to CONG SA.<\/p>\n<p>Pratt wanted everything to be in his company\u2019s hands for the entire duration of the copyright, in order to give CONG full availability and control of all of his work.<\/p>\n<p>Pratt passed away on August 20, 1995, but the core business of the company has remained the same: to foster initiatives with a view to promoting the \u201cBrand\u201d and the high artistic value of Hugo Pratt\u2019s work.<\/p>\n<p>The CONG offices are located in Switzerland in Grandvaux, a village nestled among the vineyards that overlook Lake Geneva (Lac L\u00e9man) , a few twists in the road from the last place of residence chosen by Hugo Pratt.<\/p>\n<\/div><div class=\"fusion-sep-clear\"><\/div><div class=\"fusion-separator fusion-clearfix\" style=\"float:left;margin-top:10px;margin-bottom:40px;width:100%;max-width:40%;\"><div class=\"fusion-separator-border sep-single sep-solid\" style=\"--awb-height:20px;--awb-amount:20px;--awb-sep-color:#dd3333;border-color:#dd3333;border-top-width:4px;\"><\/div><\/div><div class=\"fusion-sep-clear\"><\/div><div class=\"fusion-text fusion-text-3\"><p>The Cong company manages and promotes the entire artistic heritage of Hugo Pratt with the goal of acquainting the public with all of his work, in addition to his most famous character. In recent years the company has re-issued titles that were out of print, such as <em>Fanfulla<\/em>,\u00a0Capitan <em>Cormorant<\/em>,\u00a0and <em>Billy James<\/em>; published for the first time such works as\u00a0<em>Sandokan<\/em>; and released books like <em>Tuttifumetti<\/em>, a catalog of Pratt\u2019s entire production. Additionally, the company has organized exhibits in Paris, Rome, Siena, Lugano, Milan, Belgium and Portugal.<\/p>\n<p>Management of the rights includes licensing, merchandising, and audiovisuals (TV, Radio, Web, etc.).<\/p>\n<h5>Corto Maltese is an internationally registered trademark. Hugo Pratt\u2019s name and signature are trademark protected.
